Gas and electricity connections will be provided to the Sirajganj BSCIC Industrial Park by December, said A. B. M. Abdus Sattar, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
 
He stated that the Sirajganj BSCIC Industrial Park will play a vital role in eliminating unemployment and driving economic prosperity in the northern region.
 
All remaining works, including establishing gas and electricity connections for the project, will be completed by December so that industrial entrepreneurs who have been allocated plots can begin setting up their factories.
 
He made these remarks to journalists on Thursday following an inspection of the Sirajganj BSCIC Industrial Park and an exchange of views.
 
The Principal Secretary said, "The current Prime Minister gave a pledge while addressing a meeting at the BSCIC Industrial Park grounds prior to the election. To fulfill that promise, the necessary work on this stalled project will be completed at the earliest possible time."
 
Among those present at the time were BSCIC Chairman Benazir Ahmed Tito, Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam, Administrator of Sirajganj Municipality Shahadat Hossain, Assistant General Manager of Sirajganj BSCIC Mahbubul Islam, and President of the Sirajganj BSCIC Industrial Park Plot Owners Association Abdul Kader Sheikh.
 
Later, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Shaheed Shamsuddin Gate-2 at the entrance of the Sirajganj Collectorate premises.
